Scent Detection - What Is It?
Scent detection focuses on utilising your dog's superpower - their nose! Our dogs can detect even small residue odours that us humans can only dream of being able to detect
It's an activity that can build confidence, provide excellent mental stimulation and help to channel your dog's energy into something fun and rewarding
We teach our dogs to recognise a specific target odour and then how to search and locate the source of the odour
Puppies, older dogs, energetic dogs, all breeds can take part!
Whether just as an extra activity for your dog, or if you'd like to have a go at joining our competitions and trials, we welcome everyone to come and try scentwork
Our Courses
We currently have Bronze and Silver level courses available to book

The Bronze course is perfect for beginners, while the Silver course is great for teams already experienced and wanting to further their skills
​
We have group classes currently available to book in Finningley, DN9
We also have a training area in Barnby Moor, DN22
We can also offer 1-1 sessions for you and your dog, either at home, or at our training areas
​
Courses are 6 weeks - 1 hour class each week
